Over the past decade, I've found immense joy in guiding exceptional students towards realizing their aspirations of gaining admission to prestigious institutions for animation, concept art, game design, and illustration. As a graduate of Sheridan College's Bachelor of Animation program, my commitment extends beyond mentoring to freelancing as an animator and illustrator when not actively supporting students in their journeys.

  • Sheridan's academics are manageable, but the portfolio requires dedicated time and artistic growth. Shift your focus from extracurriculars to portfolio development, and we'll help you stay on track.

    Next Steps: Check our Sheridan Animation Bundle — 3+ courses, textbooks, and feedback. Video lectures guide you through portfolio requirements, and flexible feedback sessions suit busy schedules. Alternatively, the Personal Mentorship offers a similar flexible booking approach.

    Alternate Next Steps: High schools may lack vital skills like perspective and life drawing. A good alternative is taking our Foundations Bundle to bring up your drawing skills. These focused courses provide better training for beginners who are looking to prepare for intensive college portfolios in the future.

    You can also take any of the courses in these Bundles individually, but you’ll lose some of the perks such as discounts and textbooks that we include with the Bundles.

  • This is a common experience among our older students, who tend to be some of the most diligent learners due to their exposure to studying less fulfilling subjects. First and foremost, there's no need to feel self-conscious about your age. At Sheridan, I had friends ranging in age, some even above 30.

    Next Steps: The trajectory depends on your current skill level. Start by booking a Free Portfolio Assessment to allow me to directly evaluate your work and identify any areas that may need improvement. Some older students have a significant self-guided or tutorial-based skill foundation. In such cases, specific courses tailored to your needs might be more beneficial. Consider a Personal Mentorship for customized assignments, especially when combined with our Video Membership for access to all course content. This ensures a personalized approach based on your current skill set.

Explore common scenarios

  • Based on this scenario, the ideal choice is the Animation Portfolio Semester (or Complete Animation Portfolio Bundle). It includes the most live classes, demonstrations, feedback (group and/or one-on-one). Version 1 is currently $1,500 and can be paid off over many months.

  • Consider the Animation Foundations Bundle, offering a ton of live classes and demonstrations suited to those students that want to build their foundational drawing and design skills for animation. Like the Complete Animation Portfolio Bundle, there are many instructors, workshops, and feedback.

  • We understand that students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds, and this is why we have made our programs incredibly scalable. The best option for this scenario would be to sign up for a Video Course Membership that provide all of the learning material of the courses. Your child will still benefit greatly from the course material alone.
